The Drownviper (scientific classification: *Gongros Opprimo*) is a colossal predatory aquatic serpent superspecies dominating the murky subterranean rivers, inland lakes, and crystal waterways of the Hollow Earth in the MonsterVerse. Measuring nearly 100 meters in length with dense armored scales striated with bioluminescent aquamarine markings, the Drownviper ranks among the most ruthless ambush predators within subterranean aquatic ecosystems. It hunts by coiling silently beneath river depths, violently erupting to snare targets within its hyper-extendable jaws and dragging victims under with crushing constriction. In *Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)*, a Drownviper ambushed Kong as he crossed a river alongside Suko, initiating a savage grapple until Kong snapped its neck and roasted its carcass for sustenance.
