The Magma Turtle (*Tartarokhelone ignis*) is a colossal volcanic chelonian superspecies native to caldera basins and thermal vents of Skull Island in the MonsterVerse, debuting in the canonical graphic novel *Skull Island: The Birth of Kong (2017)*. Encased in a massive carapace of cooled basalt rock split by veins of radiant red-hot molten magma, the Magma Turtle sustains itself on geothermal energy and mineral deposits, defending itself by venting geysers of superheated sulfurous vapor and crushing foes with its monolithic beak.
