The Vinestrangler (*Vitis carnivora*) is a parasitic carnivorous floral superspecies inhabiting the dense prehistoric canopies of Skull Island in the MonsterVerse, introduced in the canonical graphic novel *Skull Island: The Birth of Kong (2017)*. Suspended among massive ancient trees, the organism features a bulbous central maw lined with razor-sharp woody pseudo-teeth and dozens of barbed constricting tendrils extending up to 35 meters. Hanging motionless within the foliage, it ambushes ground targets, crushing them with hydraulic strangulation while liquefying tissues with hyper-corrosive enzymes.
