Gorosaurus (Showa)

Showa Gorosaurus (ゴロザウルス, Gorozaurusu) is a gigantic carnivorous dinosaur descended from the Cretaceous Allosauridae lineage, world-renowned in tokusatsu cinema for his relentless physical ferocity and his signature melee strike: **The Kangaroo Kick**. Debuting in director Ishirō Honda's acclaimed international co-production *King Kong Escapes* (1967 — *Kingu Kongu no Gyakushū*), Gorosaurus ruled as the apex predator of isolated Mondo Island, engaging King Kong in a brutal primordial duel. The monster returned one year later in the epic milestone *Destroy All Monsters* (1968 — *Kaijū Sōshingeki*) as a premier resident of Monsterland. Mind-controlled by the extraterrestrial Kilaaks to ravage Europe—burrowing dramatically beneath the Arc de Triomphe in Paris—Gorosaurus was eventually freed by humanity and became the MVP of the climactic showdown at the base of Mount Fuji. His decisive Kangaroo Kick fractured King Ghidorah's spine from behind, turning the tide of battle and cementing Earth's victory over the space dragon.
